VOID Interactive

VOID Interactive is an independent video game developer and publisher focused on realistic tactical first-person shooters. Established in 2016, the studio developed its early work in Cambridge, New Zealand before structuring its global headquarters and corporate operations in Cork, Ireland.

Its flagship project, Ready or Not, is a tactical SWAT simulation built around deliberate room-clearing, rules of engagement, non-lethal compliance options, and challenging suspect and civilian AI. The title entered Steam Early Access in December 2021, received its PC 1.0 release in December 2023, and expanded to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in July 2025.

Development focus

The studio develops and publishes games across PC and consoles, combining game engineering, systems programming, 3D art, technical animation, quality assurance, playtesting, live operations, and post-launch content production. Its development capabilities include:

• Character animation using hand-keyed and motion-capture workflows

Ready or Not

VOID Interactive continues to support Ready or Not through major expansions and downloadable content, including Home Invasion, Dark Waters, and Boiling Point. The studio also publishes the Ready or Not: Official Soundtrack in collaboration with Zack Bower and Laced Records.

Operating with a remote-first international team, VOID Interactive coordinates staff across Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and continental Europe. Its Cork-based corporate structure supports the studio's self-publishing activity, ongoing live development of Ready or Not, and work on unannounced internal projects.
