Keywords Studios

Keywords Studios is a global technical and creative services partner for the video game industry. Founded in Dublin in 1998, the company began as a localization provider before focusing exclusively on interactive entertainment in 2004. It has since developed into a multi-studio network supporting games and digital entertainment across the production lifecycle.

Its work is organized around three primary divisions:

• Create: game development, co-development, porting, remastering, embedded engineering, game art, animation, visual effects, and audio production.
• Globalize: localization, culturalization, localization QA, functional QA, compatibility testing, and compliance services.
• Engage: creative marketing, trailers, social strategy, public relations, player support, community management, and trust and safety.

Keywords also provides media and entertainment services including dubbing, subtitling, accessibility work, and audio description. Its technology capabilities include AI-driven localization and customer-support automation through platforms such as KantanAI, Helpshift, and Project KARA.

The group supports video games across console, PC, mobile, cloud, and VR/AR platforms, alongside interactive entertainment, media and television streaming, consumer software, and digital toys. Supported project credits include Starfield, Baldur's Gate 3, Diablo IV, Hogwarts Legacy, Elden Ring, Fortnite, Valorant, League of Legends, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Dune: Awakening.

Following a period of expansion through acquisitions of specialized studios, Keywords became privately held after its October 2024 acquisition by an investor consortium led by EQT, alongside CPP Investments and Temasek. The company continues to operate as an active global group, with its operational headquarters in Dublin and a corporate base in London.
