About Panic Stations
Panic Stations is an independent UK video game development and publishing studio focused on comedic, physics-driven co-op multiplayer games. Established in 2025 by industry veterans with experience on Fall Guys, the studio creates social experiences designed around shared problem-solving, unpredictable systems, and the kind of chaos that turns a play session into a story friends can retell.
Its work spans full-cycle game development, publishing, game design, gameplay engineering, cross-platform multiplayer networking, and live operations. The team’s specialties include procedural animation and physics-based interactions, systems balancing, and cooperative design for PC and console audiences.
Games
The studio’s debut title, Frog Sqwad, launched on 11 June 2026 for PC through Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass. The cooperative physics puzzle-platformer supports up to eight players as sticky-tongued amphibians navigate hazardous sewers, launch one another across gaps, and haul food for the Swamp King.
Panic Stations subsequently announced Very Safe Dino Park, a cooperative dinosaur-park management simulation for one to four players. The game centers on running exhibits, feeding dinosaurs, and responding to escalating systemic mishaps.
Creative focus
Panic Stations describes its approach as maximizing “fun per minute” through playful, social multiplayer systems. Its games emphasize emergent moments created when players coordinate successfully—or spectacularly fail together. This blend of physical comedy, cooperative pressure, and approachable multiplayer interaction is central to the studio’s work in the interactive-entertainment market.
More about Panic Stations
Leadership and studio model
Panic Stations was co-founded by Paul Croft, Josh Tarrant, Steve Taylor, Dan Hoang, Joe Walsh, and Oliver Hindle. Their roles span commercial leadership, engineering, art and music, design, and social and community direction.
The studio reports a roughly 15-person core team and a flat, remote-first operating model that favors individual autonomy and rapid prototyping over layered bureaucracy.
Collective support
Panic Stations was unveiled as the first new in-house studio under Skeleton Crew, a creator-led independent studio collective founded by Paul Croft. The collective provides commercial, production, and mentorship support to its partner studios while emphasizing small teams and sustainable production.
