About Old Skull Games
Old Skull Games is an independent French video game development studio founded in 2012 and based in the Lyon metropolitan area. It develops original games, licensed adaptations and co-development projects across PC, consoles, Apple Arcade, iOS and Android.
The studio works across the full production cycle, bringing together game design, engineering, art, animation, visual effects, quality assurance and deployment. Its capabilities span action, adventure and platforming games; roguelites and action roguelite-builders; narrative and time-management experiences; stylised 2D and 3D art; and cross-platform development and porting.
Games and collaborations
Old Skull Games has developed games with publishers and IP partners including Ubisoft, Gameloft, Nickelodeon, Paramount, Netflix, Apple Arcade, Tilting Point, Bandai Namco and GameHouse. Its catalogue includes:
- Cryptical Path, an action roguelite-builder released first for PC and later across console platforms
- Valiant Hearts: Coming Home, co-developed with Ubisoft Montpellier for Netflix Games
- SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit and the announced SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit 2
- Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis and Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis: Next!
- MasterChef: Let's Cook!, Tiny Worlds: Idle Dragon Game and My Universe: Cooking Star Restaurant
- Earlier mobile and narrative work including Rakoo's Adventure, Ridge Racer Draw & Drift, the Amber's Airline titles and Detective Jackie: Mystic Case
The studio also produced the animated 1980s-style cartoon sequence for the 2015 film Kung Fury.
Original IP and live support
Alongside external partnerships, Old Skull Games is expanding its original-IP and premium PC/console work. It provides post-launch live operations, including content updates, balance patches and community engagement. Its announced slate includes Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster, a stealth-action platformer featuring a Skaven assassin.
The company operates as a privately owned independent studio, with project investment from Game Seer Venture Partners supporting its multi-project expansion into cross-platform development.
