About Flix Interactive

Flix Interactive is a UK game-development studio focused on AAA and AA co-development, external development and full-cycle production for PC and console titles. Based in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, it combines a central production facility with a UK-wide hybrid development model.

The studio works across the development lifecycle, from gameplay and systems engineering through art, animation, platform delivery and post-launch support. Its technical work centres on Unreal Engine 4 and 5, including gameplay programming, network replication, physics implementation, optimisation and custom production-tool pipelines.

Development capabilities

  • Game and systems design: combat mechanics, encounter design, balance, prototyping and technical design.
  • Engineering: systems architecture, gameplay programming, engine optimisation and multiplayer functionality.
  • Art and animation: environment and character production, technical art, shaders, rigging, and keyframe or motion-capture combat animation.
  • Platform delivery: multiplatform optimisation, console porting, certification management and complete SKU delivery.
  • Live operations: post-launch content, patch integration, seasonal updates and community bug mitigation.

Flix Interactive has contributed to a range of established games and franchises. Its work includes a multi-year co-development partnership with Rare and Xbox Game Studios on Sea of Thieves, supporting feature engineering, content updates, systems architecture and live-service operations. Other supported credits include Mafia: The Old Country, Sniper Elite 5, Manor Lords, Pax Dei, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, Crackdown 3, Hell Let Loose, Beyond a Steel Sky and PowerWash Simulator 2.

The company also developed Eden Star, its own sci-fi survival-sandbox intellectual property. That early project demonstrated its experience with Unreal Engine architecture and physics-driven gameplay, helping establish a technical foundation for its later co-development work.

With a reported workforce in the 100–150 range, Flix Interactive serves publishers and development partners in global PC and console markets, including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC storefronts. Its offering spans integrated engineering, design, art and production support for projects requiring sustained collaboration across development and live-service phases.
