Snowprint Studios

Snowprint Studios is a Stockholm-founded developer and publisher of mobile strategy games. Founded in 2015, the studio creates free-to-play tactical experiences built around turn-based combat, character collection, progression, and ongoing live operations.

Its games combine mobile-first design with tactical RPG systems, stylised 3D production, game economies, community features, and long-term content support. The company develops and operates its portfolio in-house, spanning game design, engineering, art, animation, audio implementation, publishing, and LiveOps.

Games

• Legend of Solgard — a Norse-mythology tactical RPG and puzzle adventure released globally with King.
• Rivengard — a turn-based tactical strategy RPG.
• Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus — a turn-based tactical RPG set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and released under licence from Games Workshop.

The studio’s portfolio focuses on accessible strategy games designed to offer depth in shorter play sessions. Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus is Snowprint’s self-published title, while Rivengard marked an important step in the company’s move into self-publishing.

Studio operations

Snowprint operates from Stockholm and Berlin with a hybrid team of more than 50 developers. Its staff bring experience from companies including King, DICE, Rovio, Unity, and Zynga, applying that expertise to sustained mobile-game development and post-launch support.

Snowprint Studios is majority owned by Modern Times Group MTG AB (publ), which acquired an initial 70% stake in October 2023. The studio remains active within MTG’s Gaming Village while continuing to develop its own games and creative direction.
