Ludia

Ludia is a Montreal-based mobile game developer and publisher focused on free-to-play games, licensed entertainment properties, and original interactive experiences. Founded in 2007, the studio began by adapting television game-show franchises for consoles and digital platforms before making a strategic shift to the free-to-play mobile market in 2011.

Its portfolio combines established entertainment brands with live-operated mobile games designed for long-term player engagement. Ludia develops across casual and mid-core formats, with capabilities spanning game design, prototyping, engineering, 2D and 3D art, animation, quality assurance, systems balancing, analytics, user acquisition, monetization, and live operations.

Independent ownership

After periods of ownership by FremantleMedia and later Jam City, Ludia returned to independent Canadian ownership through a management-led buyout in March 2025. The company continues to operate as an active independent studio, building and supporting mobile games for global audiences.
