Studio Overview

Veelpoot is an independent Dutch game development studio based in Utrecht, founded in 2024 by narrative designer and game writer Keano Raubun. The studio operates as a lean, distributed team, collaborating with a network of freelance developers and artists to produce high-quality interactive content. Veelpoot is committed to sustainable development practices and maintains a strict policy prohibiting the use of generative AI in its art and voice acting contracts.

Development Philosophy

Veelpoot employs a hybrid business model that balances commercial expansion work for established gaming ecosystems with the development of original intellectual property. By leveraging the Bethesda Verified Creator Program, the studio has successfully established a sustainable revenue stream, allowing for the self-funded development of its original titles. The studio's work is characterized by a focus on narrative depth, environmental storytelling, and professional-grade production values.

Key Projects

• Legacy of Orsinium (2026): A major narrative expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. Released through the Bethesda Verified Creator Program, the project features extensive questlines, new dungeons, and unique artifacts. It received critical recognition with nominations for Best Audio and Best Debut Game at the 2026 Dutch Game Awards.
• BRUTALISK (In Development): An original narrative-driven first-person shooter set in a 24th-century brutalist dystopia. The project draws inspiration from classic titles such as BioShock and Half-Life and received prototype development funding from the Dutch Creative Industries Fund (Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie).
• Future Pipeline: The studio is currently developing additional commercial content for Fallout 4 and is in the pre-production phase for an unannounced fantasy intellectual property.
