About Treyarch

Treyarch is an AAA video-game developer focused on first-person shooters, multiplayer action and live-operated experiences. Founded in 1996, the studio became part of Activision in 2001 and operates within Microsoft Gaming following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Its early catalogue included Die by the Sword, sports games and licensed adaptations such as Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. Treyarch later became a principal developer for the Call of Duty franchise, beginning with Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and Call of Duty 3 before establishing the Black Ops sub-series in 2010.

A defining part of the studio’s work is Zombies, introduced in Call of Duty: World at War as an experimental easter egg and subsequently developed into a signature pillar of the franchise. Its recent credits include Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, alongside earlier Black Ops installments, Call of Duty: World at War, Spider-Man 3, James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace and Ultimate Spider-Man.
