About The Yard VFX
The Yard VFX is an independent French visual-effects and computer-animation studio founded in 2014 by senior VFX supervisor Laurens Ehrmann. It creates high-end digital imagery for feature films and episodic television, supporting international productions from concept development through on-set work and final image delivery.
Its work spans creative VFX consulting and concept art, on-set visual-effects supervision, 3D modelling and asset creation, character and creature animation, environments, digital matte painting, lighting, look development, compositing, and colour integration. The studio also delivers demanding Houdini-based dynamic simulations, including fluids, fire, explosions, destruction, cloth, crowds, and particles.
Connected European Production
The Yard VFX operates a multi-facility workflow across France and the United Kingdom, with a USD-based pipeline connecting artists and production teams. Its Montpellier operation focuses on 3D assets, lighting, and FX simulation work, while its London studio provides a base for collaboration with British filmmakers and international productions.
The studio supports productions navigating French and UK audiovisual incentives, including France’s Tax Rebate for International Productions and the UK Audio-Visual Expenditure Credit.

The Yard VFX has contributed visual effects to films including Predator: Badlands, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, John Wick: Chapter 4, Nomadland, Notre-Dame on Fire, Ford v Ferrari, The Gray Man, Damsel, and Oxygen.
