Stellar Entertainment is an Australian inflight-entertainment content service provider supporting airlines with programming, licensing, production and technical media delivery. Established in Sydney in 1974 after winning a Qantas tender for bespoke inflight radio programming, the business has developed from analogue audio and tape duplication into a global provider of digital content management and distribution for airline cabins.

Its work combines rights clearance and tailored monthly programming across film, television, audio, games and digital publications with audio and video production for voiceovers, safety videos, boarding music and podcasts. The company also provides localization and media-processing services, including encoding, format conversion, subtitling, dubbing, watermarking and metadata preparation for aircraft hardware systems. Legacy-fleet support remains part of its offer, covering physical-media delivery and maintenance for older IFE formats.

Airline content and production

Stellar works with commercial airline partners on content curation, commercial onboarding, passenger-facing media and branded audio. Its longstanding relationship with Qantas includes work supporting Project Sunrise, while other documented airline relationships include American Airlines, China Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Air Astana, Virgin Australia, Virgin Atlantic, EVA Air, Philippine Airlines and Scoot.

The company operates production facilities with audio suites, voice-recording booths and video capabilities, alongside a technical lab for cloud-based media processing and delivery. Its proprietary pixL™ ecosystem and Stellar IFE Portal support airline teams in previewing, selecting, licensing and programming content cycles. Passenger-demand intelligence from Parrot Analytics is integrated into those curation workflows.

Global delivery

From its Sydney headquarters, Stellar maintains production, technical, commercial and regional operations across Asia, Greater China and North America. Its Malaysian hub supports recording, screening, editing, metadata and around-the-clock technical services, while the wider organization continues to trade under the Stellar Entertainment and Stellar Group brands.

Stellar’s original audio work includes the Audible audio drama The Goodbye Party, alongside recurring voiceover commissions for international broadcasters.
