About Scape
Scape is an independent Swedish game developer building an interconnected multiplayer platform and creator ecosystem. Operating under ScapeWorld Entertainment AB, the studio grew out of earlier multiplayer technology initiatives associated with Ringtail Interactive and Brink before establishing its own commercial identity. It works as a fully remote-by-choice team, coordinated across Europe and international time zones on Central European Time.
A persistent multiplayer world
The studio’s platform vision centres on persistent player identity: characters, progression, social connections and inventory are intended to carry across multiple game environments. Its first game, Gravity, is presented through the Scape platform as a vertical multiplayer climbing experience in which up to 100 players share one broken world at once.
Built around precision climbing and physics-driven platforming, Gravity removes conventional checkpoints and health bars in favour of high-consequence ascent. Players climb a crumbling vertical landscape toward a summit door, where a fall can cost hard-won progress.
Creation tools and community publishing
Alongside the game, Scape has developed Scape Builder, its proprietary no-code visual node system. The tool was used to make Gravity and is being opened to outside creators, who can use it to make standalone worlds, game modes and communities within the wider Scape ecosystem.
The studio also runs a creator-led publishing approach through the Scape Creator Program, incorporating streamers, clippers and content creators through revenue sharing and custom in-game cosmetics. This model combines first-party game development, live multiplayer platform operation and tooling for player-created experiences.
Live-service experience
Scape’s senior team brings experience operating and shipping live games at studios including Arrowhead, Avalanche Studios and Ubisoft. That background informs its focus on multiplayer infrastructure, persistent social play and a platform designed to grow beyond a single game.
