About Playrix

Playrix is a mobile game developer and global publisher focused on free-to-play casual games. Founded in 2004, the company began with downloadable PC titles before shifting into mobile experiences and free-to-play publishing in the early 2010s.

Its portfolio combines accessible puzzle gameplay with longer-running simulation, renovation, and narrative progression systems. Township helped establish its mobile presence through city-building and farming mechanics, while later games including Fishdom, Gardenscapes, and Homescapes developed its approach to Match-3 gameplay paired with character-led stories and environmental restoration.

Development and publishing

Playrix develops and operates games across the full product lifecycle, including:

  • Mobile game design, engineering, art production, UI/UX, animation, and quality assurance
  • Continuous LiveOps content, events, game balancing, and player support
  • Global publishing, localization, user acquisition, advertising optimization, and monetization
  • 2D and 3D art, visual effects, Spine animation, and cross-platform mobile technology

The company’s games span puzzle, simulation, city-building, hidden-object, card, and adventure formats. Its credited releases include Wildscapes, Manor Matters, Farmscapes, Fishdom Solitaire, and Mystery Matters, alongside its major Match-3 and simulation franchises.

Operating model

Playrix operates with a hybrid, globally distributed workforce, supporting work from home as well as from regional hubs. Its technical and production work includes proprietary C++ mobile technology, Unity-based development, LiveOps systems, and data-informed AI and machine-learning applications for personalization, dynamic difficulty calibration, and automation.

Following its withdrawal from Russia and Belarus after 2022, Playrix closed its commercial operations and former offices in those markets while continuing as an active international mobile games business. Its current organization combines development, art, publishing, corporate, and player-support functions across its established operating regions.
