About PFX

PFX is a Prague-founded visual effects, animation and full-service post-production studio serving feature films, episodic television, animation, advertising and game-cinematic work. Founded in 2012, it has grown from a boutique VFX and CG advertising studio into an integrated Central European production network spanning six countries.

The studio combines visual effects and animation with picture and sound finishing. Its work includes CGI crowd simulation, digital environments, creatures, digital doubles, compositing, matchmoving, on-set VFX supervision and 3D tracking. PFX also provides character modelling, rigging, look development, lighting, rendering and animation co-production for animated features and series.

Post-production and production support

PFX offers editorial finishing, mastering and deliverables, colour grading with FilmLight Baselight and DaVinci Resolve, sound design, ADR and cinema mixing, including Dolby Atmos-certified work. Its Datalab operation supports secure transfers, dailies, transcode automation, backups, archiving and quality-control workflows.

The company also works with producers on creative co-production, IP development, financing packaging and audiovisual tax-incentive administration across its European operating territories. Its in-house AI Lab develops production tools for set reconstruction, style matching, character animation, depth-map synthesis, upscaling and rendering denoising.

Screen work

PFX's credited work includes Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, Napoleon, All Quiet on the Western Front, Foundation, Locked, Stranger Things, Extraction 2, Medieval, Blonde, The Sleepers, One Trillion Dollars and Zátopek. In animation, it has co-produced The Proud Princess, and its work also includes Diplodocus and The Last Whale Singer.

Following a 2017 partnership with Cinepost, PFX expanded its finishing capabilities. It subsequently broadened its regional presence through the 2022 merger with KolektivFX and a series of 2024 integrations and acquisitions involving Human Film, Cine Chromatix's VFX operations, VAST and Cine Chromatix Italy. Today, its unified production pipeline connects artists and production teams across Central Europe for work ranging from complex feature-film shots to commercial campaigns.
