About Ocellus Studio

Ocellus Studio is an independent French games and animation group combining stylized art production, cinematic work and full-cycle game development. Operating through Ocellus Services and Ocellus Games, it supports external partners while developing original and licensed PC and console titles.

Its art and production practice spans visual development, concept art, character and environment design, 2D and 3D asset creation, texturing, rigging, animation, UI/UX, VFX and promotional key art. The studio also produces pre-rendered and real-time game trailers, in-game cinematics and user-acquisition creative, using pipelines including Unreal Engine 5 and Maya.

Games, co-development and live operations

Ocellus provides end-to-end production and co-production for console, PC and mobile games, alongside art-direction guidance, technical-art pipelines, UX audits and live-operations support. Its work includes asset production, updates and marketing cinematics for Supercell titles including Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, Squad Busters and mo.co.

The group has also contributed visual concepts and key art to Fortnite, live-ops art support to Merge Mansion, and co-development, art production and animation across Outfit7's Talking Tom games. Earlier console co-development credits include the Asterix & Obelix XXL remasters and Asterix & Obelix XXL 3: The Crystal Menhir.

Original development

Ocellus Games develops internal original IP and licensed games. Its released titles include the 2021 platform adventure Marsupilami: Hoobadventure and 2024's The Smurfs: Dreams, a 3D platformer published by Microids for PC and consoles.

The studio's history reaches back to the RHEO artist collective founded by Cyril Corallo in 2010. Rebranded as Ocellus in 2015, the team established operations in Ljubljana in 2016 before relocating to France and establishing Ocellus Services SAS in 2018. The group later expanded its structure with Ocellus Games as a dedicated development division, pairing a B2B creative-services practice with internal game production.
