About MK Studios

MK Studios is an independent Warsaw-based developer of flight-simulation software, interactive aviation training solutions and digital environments. Established as a dedicated production studio in 2013, it serves both consumer simulation audiences and enterprise clients in aviation, airport operations and ground handling.

The studio develops commercial airport scenery and add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Prepar3D and X-Plane. Its environments reproduce airport infrastructure, terminals, taxiways, runways and ground markings, with a production approach that combines LiDAR and digital-elevation data, physically based materials and tailored level-of-detail hierarchies for visual fidelity and performance.

Training and simulation

For airlines, aviation training organisations and ground-service providers, MK Studios builds scenario-based software for airside operations. Its Airport Training Simulator supports virtual instruction in activities including:

  • Pushback, towing and aircraft marshalling
  • Baggage loading and aircraft turnaround workflows
  • De-icing, airside driving and safety procedures
  • Foreign Object Debris inspections and operational scenarios under changing weather and time constraints

The company also provides turnkey simulator development, bespoke 3D modelling and visualisation, simulation-asset licensing, and SDK and engine integration for client software and specialist visualisation hardware. Its work uses Unreal Engine 5 and Unity3D alongside C++ and Blueprints to support digital-twin visualisations, vehicle physics and procedural training systems.

Products and scenery

MK Studios’ catalogue includes AirportSim, co-developed with MS Games and released for PC and Xbox Series X|S, as well as enterprise modules for ground handling, cargo handling, pushback, towing, de-icing and airside driving. Its scenery portfolio includes airports such as Rome-Fiumicino, Lisbon, Porto, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Key West, Tenerife South, Helsinki-Vantaa, Seattle-Tacoma, LaGuardia and Dublin.

By combining aviation-domain knowledge with interactive software development, MK Studios creates tools for both professional operational training and home flight-simulation communities.
