About Kwalee
Kwalee is a British video game developer and publisher headquartered in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Founded in 2011 by David Darling CBE, the company develops and publishes games across mobile, PC and console platforms, combining internal production with third-party publishing.
The studio initially built its reputation in hyper-casual mobile games and has since expanded into hybrid-casual and casual experiences, alongside a dedicated PC and console publishing operation launched in 2019. Its mobile portfolio includes Draw It, Teacher Simulator, Airport Security, Let's Be Cops 3D, Bake It, Rocket Sky! and Monster City Merge. Kwalee reports that its mobile portfolio has surpassed one billion downloads.
Development and publishing
Kwalee supports projects from concept through launch and long-term growth. Its work spans:
- First-party game development for mobile and multiplatform releases
- Third-party PC and console publishing
- Cross-platform porting, quality assurance and localisation
- User acquisition, performance marketing and creative production
- Ad monetisation, in-app economy design and LiveOps
- Developer funding, milestone management and product lifecycle strategy
For PC and console, its publishing catalogue includes Scathe, Wildmender, Robobeat, The Precinct, Voidwrought, The Coin Game and Luna Abyss. These releases include games developed by external studios as well as teams within the wider Kwalee group.
Data-informed game operations
The company combines creative development with analytics, user-acquisition and growth capabilities. Its publishing pipeline includes the Hitseeker developer portal and ByteBrew integration, supporting game evaluation, marketing performance and live operations. Kwalee also uses internal idea incubation through its "Creative Wednesdays" initiative, in which employees can pitch and prototype game concepts.
Kwalee’s operations include its Leamington Spa headquarters and a Bengaluru development and growth studio, which handles end-to-end game production, product management, performance marketing, analytics and live operations. The company remains active as a developer and publisher serving mobile, PC and console audiences.
