About Illusorium Studios
Illusorium Studios is an independent Madrid-based 3D CGI animation and visual-effects studio founded in 2012. Its work spans end-to-end animation, high-end visual effects, cinematic storytelling and technical production for video games, film, television, advertising and digital media.
The studio combines creative development with production execution across visual development, concept art, storyboarding, animatics and layout; 3D modelling, sculpting, texturing, shading and rigging; keyframe character animation, motion graphics and procedural simulation; and lighting, rendering, matte painting and compositing. Its pipeline and engineering work includes tailored production tools, Shotgrid/Aquarium workflow tracking and production coordination.
Screen, game and branded work
Illusorium has contributed animation and VFX to projects including Secret Level, for which it worked on the Mega Man: Start, Pac-Man: Circle and Spelunky: Tally episodes. Its game-cinematic credits also include Marathon, Watch Dogs: Legion—including the "Tipping Point" trailer—League of Legends, Sky: Children of the Light, Dislyte and Sky: The Two Embers.
Its screen work includes visual effects for HBO's 30 Coins and the feature films Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil, En las estrellas and El Reino. The studio has also created branded and music-video work, including campaigns for Coca-Cola, Discord, Nike, Unilever, Facebook/Oculus Horizon, Brut and ÖX, as well as VFX for Coldplay and BTS's My Universe.
Original production
Alongside commissioned work, Illusorium has expanded into original animated production and co-produced El Fantasma de la Quinta (The Quinta's Ghost), a Francisco Goya-inspired animated short directed by James A. Castillo. The studio remains active across original animated cinema, game cinematics and complex visual-effects production.
