About Halon Entertainment

Halon Entertainment is an independent creative production studio working across real-time visualization, animation, game cinematics and virtual production. Founded in 2003, the company developed its early reputation in previsualization and technical visualization for feature filmmaking, then expanded its practice into episodic work, games, advertising, live experiences and immersive platforms.

Its visualization offering spans previs, pitchvis, techvis and postvis, alongside virtual-camera operation and motion-capture integration. The studio also provides creative development through concept design, concept art, storyboards and animatics, helping productions move from early ideas into production-ready plans.

Real-time production

Halon combines virtual art department work with real-time animation and Unreal Engine workflows. Its teams create digital characters, props, vehicles, environments, sets and extensions for use in virtual production, game cinematics and on-set visualization. Virtual-production services include planning, virtual scouting, LED-wall content, ICVFX support, real-time environments and tool development.

The studio's game-cinematics work covers announcement and launch trailers, in-game cinematics, character and seasonal campaigns, gameplay-led content, marketing renders and key art. It has supported projects including Fortnite, Sid Meier's Civilization VII, Kerbal Space Program 2, New World, XCOM 2 and Evolve.

Screen work

Halon's feature-film and television credits include visualization or virtual-production work on Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, The Batman, A Minecraft Movie, Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water, Ford v Ferrari, John Wick: Chapter 4, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Jurassic World, Free Guy, Pinocchio, The Mandalorian and The Orville.

After operating within NEP Virtual Studios following a 2021 acquisition, Halon returned to independent ownership through a management buyout in July 2026. The active company now serves film, streaming, games, advertising, broadcast, live-event and immersive-entertainment clients with an integrated real-time storytelling practice.
