Company 3

Company 3 (CO3) is a post-production, color grading and digital-intermediate finishing studio founded in Santa Monica in 1997 by Stefan Sonnenfeld, Mike Pethel and Noel Castley-Wright. Originally established under Four Media Company (4MC), the business developed from a color-focused operation into a global finishing facility serving feature films, episodic television, advertising, music videos, documentaries and broadcast programming.

Its work spans the finishing pipeline from creative color and telecine through conform, online editorial, mastering and delivery. The studio also provides production dailies, color management, shot cleanup, beauty work, titling, visual-effects finishing, audio post-production, data management and quality-control services.

Finishing and remote collaboration

Company 3 supports HDR and SDR workflows, Dolby Vision, IMAX and theatrical projection formats. Its Virtual Outpost workflows enable remote review and collaboration through systems including DaVinci Remote Monitor, Sohonet Pivot and Colorfront Streaming Server, connecting filmmakers, studios and agencies with color and finishing teams across locations.

Company history

Company 3 operated alongside Method during its time within Deluxe Creative Services, later using the joint Company 3 / Method banner. Framestore acquired Company 3 / Method in November 2020. In May 2025, Method Studios' short-form commercial-finishing divisions in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta were integrated into Company 3, bringing those post-finishing services under the Company 3 brand.

The studio's credited work includes films such as Gladiator II, Wicked, The Wild Robot, 1917 and No Time to Die, as well as series including Shōgun, Andor, The White Lotus, Baby Reindeer, Ripley and Wednesday.
