CM IMMERSIVE

Studio Overview

CM IMMERSIVE is an independent game development studio and publisher headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia. Specializing in high-fidelity virtual reality (VR) and PC titles, the studio is best known for its work on the Into the Radius franchise. The company operates as a remote-first organization, coordinating a distributed team of approximately 30 developers and contributors across Europe, while maintaining its central corporate and administrative headquarters in Estonia.

Core Philosophy and Development

Born from an internal R&D initiative within the CM Games group, the studio focuses on atmospheric, physics-driven first-person survival shooters (FPS). Their development approach emphasizes:

• Tactical Realism: Manual ballistics simulation, complex weapon maintenance, and immersive physical inventory management.
• Environmental Storytelling: Creating dense, atmospheric worlds inspired by science fiction literature.
• Technical Excellence: Leveraging Unreal Engine to optimize performance for diverse VR hardware, including Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, and PCVR platforms.

Corporate History

CM IMMERSIVE was formally established as an independent legal entity on January 30, 2025, following a corporate demerger from its parent company, CM Games OÜ. This strategic separation allowed the studio to focus exclusively on its immersive VR portfolio. The company is backed by Forty Two Ventures OÜ and Gaijin Games Kft., and is led by CEO Vladimir Rannik, General Manager Bohdan Sereda, and People Operations lead Aleksander Daniel Matikainen.
