About BANDAI NAMCO

Bandai Namco Europe is the European publishing, content-creation and distribution arm of Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. Operating legally as Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe S.A.S., it manages commercial activity across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australasia, covering publishing, sales, brand management, localization and digital marketing.

The company’s European roots follow the 2005 management integration of Bandai and Namco, with international game operations consolidated in 2006. A 2024 restructuring separated regional holding responsibilities from day-to-day publishing operations: the former Bandai Namco Europe holding entity became Bandai Namco Holdings Europe S.A.S., while the operating publishing business transferred to Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe S.A.S.

Publishing and regional operations

Bandai Namco Europe publishes and distributes the group’s Japanese catalogue in its territories, supporting franchises including Tekken, Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Tales of, Pac-Man, Dragon Ball and Ace Combat. Its remit also extends to Western-created intellectual property, with European-led projects including Little Nightmares and work connected with Unknown 9 and Park Beyond.

The company combines publishing oversight with regional commercial execution. Its work spans physical and digital sales distribution, product and brand management, localization, quality assurance, certification, public relations, community management, customer relationship management and trade marketing. It also acts as a physical and trade-distribution partner for third-party publishers in EMEA, including Square Enix and CD Projekt Red releases.

Capabilities

  • Video-game publishing and regional distribution across EMEA and Australasia
  • Marketing, public relations, market research and community management
  • Localization project management, quality control and certification
  • Co-development oversight and Western IP development and management
  • Merchandising and cross-media licensing

Within the wider Bandai Namco Group, the company’s Western Content Hub role includes incubating, acquiring and developing proprietary Western-created IP. This approach has included the acquisition of Montreal developer Reflector Entertainment and a majority investment in Germany’s Limbic Entertainment.
