B-Water Animation Studios

B-Water Animation Studios is an international animation production studio working across 2D animation, 3D CGI and real-time hybrid workflows. Founded by producer Dirk Hampel, it develops and produces work for feature films, television series, streaming platforms, commercials and publishing.

Its services cover visual development, character and environment design, storyboarding, layout, rigging, animation, lighting, rendering and compositing. The studio also supports co-productions, service production and work-for-hire projects for international partners.

Production capabilities

B-Water combines established animation workflows with real-time methods, using tools including Blender, Autodesk Maya, Toon Boom Harmony, Unity and Unreal Engine. Its pipeline capabilities include node-based compositing, automated rigging, Python-supported tools, motion-capture integration and crowd generation.

The company has credits across children's series and features, including Treasure Trekkers, Dino Mates – Ferien bei Madame Freudenreich, Monster Loving Maniacs, Pikkuli, Mavka: The Forest Song and Merry Little Batman.

Its work ranges from original and co-produced entertainment to animation-service collaborations, with production activity spanning European and international partners.
