Role Overview
Rocksteady Studios is seeking an exceptionally talented UI Artist to work with a team of developers to create high-quality user interfaces that deliver an intuitive and enjoyable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the UI team to create, implement, and maintain UI materials, shaders, and Unreal Engine UMG that support the established art direction.
- Collaborate on the development of UI visual concepts, wireframes, and functional prototypes.
- Support on design and user feedback to develop and polish features to a high standard of visual and functional quality.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to action effective and practical solutions.
Skill Requirements
- Essential Experience:
- Experience designing UI for games, or transferable interactive or product UI experience.
- Experience implementing UI in Unreal Engine or a similar engine.
- Confidence working with widgets, materials, shaders, and visual scripting.
- Graphic design fundamentals: layout, iconography, typography, and colour theory.
- A player-focused approach to design, with a solid grounding in core UI and usability principles.
- Ability to explain and justify design decisions clearly to artists, designers, and engineers.
- Confidence with industry-standard design tools such as Figma, the Adobe Suite, or equivalents.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid Working: This role operates on a hybrid model combining remote and in-office work, following current company policy as agreed upon with the Line Manager. WBD reserves the right to change this agreement where essential to business needs with reasonable notice.
