As part of the EA SPORTS FC studio, the Technical Art Team helps push visual boundaries and experiences for players by investing in future technologies, shared tooling, and production workflows. The team combines creativity with technical expertise and encourages unique perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Act as a bridge between artists and engineers.
- Work closely with artists, project managers, Software Engineers, and the Technical Art team.
- Manage art production workflows, tools, pipelines, asset optimization, integration, and shader development.
- Assume ownership over technical issues and drive them to resolution.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of cinematic or games production experience.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field is desired.
- Effective communication skills with diverse audiences including artists, engineers, and managers.
- Experience scripting or programming in Python and C#.
- Extended knowledge and experience working with 3D art packages (Maya) and other DCC tools is preferred.
- Solutions-oriented mindset, particularly regarding testing and debugging technical issues.
- Willingness to solve new problems and ability to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations.
- Passion for games.
Bonus Skills
- C++ programming experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range:
- British Columbia (e.g., Vancouver vs. Victoria): $74,100 - $102,000 CAD
