Role Overview
The successful candidate will join the team responsible for testing the development tools used to create every PlayStation game. This position focuses on software testing, working on industry-leading development tools with mentorship from field experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing tests for new applications, new features and regressions.
- Developing test strategies with application teams.
- Automating tests as part of continuous integration systems.
- Investigating issues and creating reproducible test cases.
- Conducting manual, exploratory testing.
- Reporting test results clearly (including performance and coverage).
- Developing tooling to help reduce test time and ease test execution.
- Making suggestions and recommendations for improvements to help shape the finished product.
- Collaborating with global, cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment to develop organisation-wide test strategies and infrastructure.
- Mentoring peers, sharing best practices, and influencing quality engineering approaches.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in developing tests for software applications.
- Experience with test automation.
- Solid understanding of software testing techniques.
- Good C# programming skills.
- Understanding of C++.
- Experience in triaging bugs and creating reproducible tests.
- Experience with software build tools, issue tracking, and source control systems.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools, LLMs, or agentic technologies to improve engineering productivity, with an understanding of how to review, validate, and apply generated output safely.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Windows applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Experience using Selenium/Appium.
- Experience using Powershell and Python.
- Experience in testing development tools.
- Experience in testing on Linux and Mac.
