About the role
Software Engineer (Pedagogy)
About the role:
This role sits at the intersection of engineering and teaching. The engineer will turn lesson designs from educators and learning scientists into interactive software experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Implement lessons and tutorials as interactive UI: guided flows, worked examples, hints, feedback, and mastery checks.
- Work directly with educators and learning scientists to translate pedagogy into product, and push back when a design will not survive contact with a six-year-old.
- Build the frontend systems that lesson content runs on: reusable interaction patterns, progression logic, and state that tracks real understanding.
- Drive coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) daily to ship learning experiences as working code.
- Prototype fast, playtest with real kids and families, and iterate on what the data and the classroom tell you.
Requirements:
- Real edtech experience; must have built learning software before.
- Strong web development experience.
- Frontend skills sufficient to implement lessons and tutorials into polished, kid-friendly UI.
- Daily, fluent use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.).
- An eye for pedagogy and understanding of instructional design (scaffolding, feedback timing, cognitive load).
- Genuine interest in the future of education.
Nice to have:
- Experience with K to 6 products or products used by young children.
- Background working alongside curriculum designers, teachers, or learning scientists.
- Game development experience.
Offer:
- Up to $100/hr, full time.
- Austin, TX preferred (remote possible).
- A funded, fast-moving product with real users and ambitious long-term vision.
- A small, high-impact team with fast decision-making.
Social Media & Content Producer
About the role:
This role is the first dedicated content hire. The producer owns the content calendar and creates the materials that introduce the brand to parents.
Responsibilities:
- Edit a weekly long-form episode from multi-camera remote recordings, including a professional audio mix using Descript stems.
- Capture gameplay from company apps to show product, philosophy, and go-to-market strategy.
- Produce the full episode and cut it into short clips for X, Instagram, and Facebook, including thumbnails, captions, and post copy.
- Publish across channels and maintain the long-form archive on the website.
- Own the content calendar: track upcoming ships, flag gaps, and coordinate internal contributors.
- Grow into social strategy, including formats, channel growth, and analytics.
- If based in Austin: perform occasional in-person shoots with families, schools, and the team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience producing and editing video or podcast content on a regular cadence.
- Strong audio post-production skills; ability to make remote recordings sound professional.
- Short-form instincts: ability to identify the hook in a game clip or a designer's story.
- Self-direction; ability to work in a small team without formal project management.
- Genuine interest in education and respect for parents as the audience.
Nice to have:
- Social media management for a brand with real reach and budget.
- Motion graphics and thumbnail design chops.
- Experience with kids, family, or education brands.
- Based in Austin, TX.
Offer:
- Up to $60/hr, full-time contract.
- Austin preferred.
- Ownership of the content pipeline from day one.
- Access to real material every week: learning scientists, designers, gameplay, and families.
- A small team that decides fast.

About the role:
This role acts as the first dedicated growth hire. The GTM engineer is responsible for building the growth engine that puts the platform in front of families, focusing on shipping experiments and automation as real software.
Responsibilities:

- Ship landing page and messaging experiments per app with proper attribution.
- Instrument the user journey from short-form hook to finished demo session into actionable dashboards.
- Build lifecycle automation (email, SMS, in-product nudges) to convert followers and waitlists into launch-day families.
- Build referral and partnership mechanics for parent communities, educators, and schools.
- Stand up AI-assisted outbound to parenting influencers and curriculum reviewers.
- Drive coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) daily to ship growth experiments as working code.
Requirements:
- Experience choosing growth as an engineer: must ship TypeScript, SQL, and automations.
- Proven track record of building funnels, experiments, or growth systems that moved a real number.
- Fluency with the modern GTM stack (attribution, CRMs, email/SMS platforms, enrichment APIs).
- Daily, fluent use of coding agents in real repositories.
- Copy sense: ability to write landing headlines and outbound emails that do not read as automated.
- Genuine interest in education and respect for parents as buyers.
Nice to have:
- Experience selling to parents, families, or education buyers.
