About the role
Role Overview
Elsewhere Entertainment is developing a new IP and is seeking a Quest Designer to join the Content Team. The role involves designing and implementing quest experiences while contributing to a culture of inclusivity, mutual respect, thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with quest, narrative, and level design teams, as well as other departments, to craft a cohesive experience for locations, characters, content, and plots.
- Partner with Quest and Narrative Designers and Engineers to further develop the pipelines and processes of the Quest Design team.
- Design and implement functional quests and become proficient in using internal tools.
- Express the story's vision through excellent exploration, dialogue, gameplay, and activities.
- Provide constructive feedback on the work of others.
- Act as a liaison to other departments, conveying the consistent design vision of the project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a professional Game Designer (or a combination of applicable training and experience).
- Experience with technical game design, including implementation in tools, game logic, and visual scripting.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks in a confidential environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Experience pitching game design concepts in a clear, detailed manner through strong written and verbal skills.
- Knowledge of organization methods and the capability to meet agreed timelines.
- Ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team.
Bonus Points
- Experience with AAA games.
- Industry recognition or demonstrated impact in the field.
- Experience having made a personal game as a side or indie project.
- Experience in adjacent fields such as content design, narrative design, environment art, or programming.
- Experience playing and/or crafting pen and paper, board, or trading card games.
Working Conditions
- Location: This role can be based in the Warsaw office.
- Schedule: Onsite work schedule of four days per week.
- Discretion: Work arrangements may change at the company's discretion to meet business needs.
