Role Information
- Role: Product Videographer (Freelance)
- Location: Parramatta, NSW, Australia (On-site at Sydney, Parramatta CBD studio)
- Employment Type: Contracted
- Experience Level: Experienced
- Schedule: Shoots typically run 4-5 hours, 1-2 times per week (or every other week). Days and hours may vary week to week.
About Glitch Productions
Glitch Productions is an independent Australian animation studio creating original, long-form animated shows for YouTube. The channel has over 22 million subscribers. Notable projects include The Amazing Digital Circus, which has surpassed 400 million views on the pilot.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Product & B-Roll: Capture clean, well-lit product photography and video for online shops, merch campaigns, and general marketing.
- Social Media Shoots: Shoot fun, fast, vertical, and horizontal video and photo content featuring products in a casual, skit-driven style.
- Post-Production: Perform light colour-correction and photo touch-ups as required by project needs.
- Set Management: Manage set-up, lighting, and camera organization for product shoots and casual skit content.
- Quality Control: Maintain consistent quality and visual style across all product and social shoots.
- Asset Management: Organize and archive shoot footage and photos in line with company file structures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team on shot lists and shoot planning.
- Logistics: Drive to exterior shoot locations as required.
Requirements
- Experience:
- Strong experience in product/e-commerce photography and b-roll (merchandise or apparel preferred).
- Experience shooting quick, casual, personality-driven video content.
- Proficiency with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and studio lighting.
- Creative Skills: Strong creative eye for social media and e-commerce aesthetics.
- Logistics:
- Availability to work on-site in Parramatta CBD.
- Possession of a driver’s license and access to a vehicle for off-site shoots.
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with Glitch Productions' shows and general fandom/meme culture.
Equipment
Studio equipment (DSLR camera and lighting) is provided on-site. Owning personal gear is not required.
Application Requirements
- Portfolio showcasing broad video and photo experience across e-commerce, merchandising, apparel, and creative/entertainment industries.
- Proficiency confirmation required for:
- Professional experience with photography, video, lighting, and basic audio setups.
- Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop (colour correction, retouching, sound balancing, multi-format delivery).
- Ownership of professional camera and lighting equipment (noted as an optional query).
- Driver’s license and vehicle access.
- Sydney metro area residency.
- Disclosure of desired hourly rate.
