Role Overview

As Technical Producers at Riot, we lead passionate technical teams to create products and experiences that achieve maximum developer, operator, and player value. We guide development, clear blockers, and push projects across the finish line while ensuring our teams are sustainable and foster a collaborative environment.

As a Senior Technical Producer on the Developer Connections team, you will lead production for a complex technical product, service area, or operational surface that spans more than one team. You will partner with Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, and product partners to shape technical product direction, own the execution system that makes delivery predictable, and set a clear longer-term vision for your area. You will be the named owner for delivery, readiness, escalation, and post-launch outcomes across your surface. You will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the breakdown and execution of multi-month work efforts spanning multiple teams within an initiative.
• Partner with Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, and product partners to develop the technical product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your area.
• Own the execution system for your area: prioritization flow, ETA predictability, production rhythm, and delivery behavior.
• Own the backlog and build resilient, phase-based production plans that survive pivots.
• Define and track outcomes for your area's products and capabilities, using operator, developer, and service signals to inform prioritization.
• Own rollout, handoff, day-0 quality, QA partnership, and postmortem-driven improvement.
• Build the business framing for your area, including ROI, forecasting, funding asks, and vendor or cost optimization where relevant.
• Create alignment between teams working toward divergent goals or with contentious relationships, and coach others on conflict resolution.
• Drive difficult technical tradeoffs with technical leaders, and articulate and advocate those tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify and remove blockers proactively, and manage risk in new or ambiguous problem spaces.
• Craft and present a longer-horizon vision for your area, including at high-profile internal forums.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Technical Producer, Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, or Development Manager on medium to large teams.
• Track record of reliably delivering projects at targeted quality on time across multiple efforts.
• Experience applying Agile and Lean development processes at scale, and contextually adapting a broad set of development processes.
• Broad understanding of technical systems across multiple related areas, with the ability to identify and articulate multiple solutions and their tradeoffs.
• Experience defining product strategy, success metrics, and roadmap priorities for technical platforms, internal tools, or operational capabilities.
• Experience owning launch and operational readiness for services in production.

Desired Qualifications

• Agile certifications from Scrum Alliance.
• Advanced Atlassian Power User (Jira Product Discovery, Jira Space Administration, Jira Plans) or Atlassian certifications.
• Experience building or supporting operational platforms, internal developer tooling, or cloud-based services.
• Experience delivering software for globally scaled, highly available systems.

• For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise and collaboration that prioritizes your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position.

• Compensation: Base salary range between $166,600.00 - $232,800.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity.
