About the role
Role Overview
Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a Manager, Finance to support finance and multifunctional leaders on strategic planning, forecasting, and impact assessment for investments in Franchises and/or across the Blizzard portfolio. This role serves as a key business partner to franchise and finance leaders in deciding budget allocations and driving effective decisions. The position is a hybrid work role with the home studio located in Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
- Partner with development, marketing, and finance teams to develop annual operating plans and quarterly forecasts for the budget.
- Set objectives, measurable KPIs, budgets, and approval gates for both fixed headcount and variable spend.
- Lead financial analysis to support decision-making on franchise priorities, investments, and go-to-market plans.
- Own and lead processes to improve investment tracking, reporting, and evaluation.
- Partner with game franchise teams to develop a deep understanding of audience segments and deliver content and marketing plans that drive profitable growth.
- Contribute to decision-making on budget allocation and optimization, including user acquisition, influencer activation, partnership marketing, and campaign production.
Minimum Requirements
- 4 or more years of finance experience.
- Consistent track record of driving innovative initiatives that generate growth and positive returns.
- Knowledge of the key performance metrics that drive business performance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to change.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to lead projects with diverse collaborators across functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the video game industry.
- Passion for Blizzard games.
Compensation
- Standard Base Pay Range: $89,280.00 - $165,168.00 Annual.
- Incentive Compensation: Employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation (not guaranteed).
- Negotiation: New hire compensation is negotiable.
