- Position: Line Producer
- Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon-Fri; core hours are 10:00 – 16:30. Open to discussing a 4-day working week.
- Contract: Fixed term, PAYE
- Pay: £49,400 to £57,200 a year
- Holiday: 29 days holiday a year and Half Day Friday every month
- Start date: 1st September 2026
- End date: 17th December 2027
- Location: Bristol, UK. Hybrid working options available. Must be able to work in-house in Bristol a minimum of four days a week. Travel and accommodation costs are not covered.

Job Overview
A Productions is looking for an experienced Line Producer to work on a 2D children’s animation for the BBC. Responsibilities include working with co-producers to ensure resource, budget, and schedule remain on track across UK pipeline elements. You will work with the Assistant Producer, in-house Studio Producer, and Co-Production Producer to ensure production deliverables and milestones are communicated, monitored, and met. Requires previous animation industry experience as a Line Producer on an animated TV series.
General Duties
- Resource management across all project departments, including managing internal resources, working with heads of department to manage staff, updating schedules, and tracking crew holidays.
- Managing casting and voice records, including contract negotiations and child licensing.
- Working with the Head of Operations & Studio Producer to recruit crew and negotiate salaries and contract terms in line with production schedule and budget.
- Working with the Production Manager to maintain detailed overviews of departmental schedules and delivery deadlines, including setting priorities and defining milestones.
- Serving as the main point of coordination between the day-to-day Production team and senior management.
- Overseeing and guiding the Production team and departmental heads/supervisors to ensure high-quality output and schedule adherence.
- Generating internal weekly progress reports for Senior Management and reporting externally to collaborators and clients.
- Management of production budget, including weekly reporting to the Studio Producer, keeping forecast/actuals calculations up to date, and providing information to the Accounts department for payroll.
- Communicating with the client and contributors, taking the lead in client-facing meetings, and acting as the face of the studio.
- Proactive planning and troubleshooting of pipeline issues.
- Overseeing conclusion of production, including asset and final delivery to the client.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience of producing or assisting in producing an animated TV series.
- Previous experience of casting and voice record management including child licensing requirements.
- Previous experience in recruiting crew and negotiating rates and contracts.
- Previous experience of managing a budget and updating and reporting on cashflows.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of a 2D animation pipeline (Toon Boom) from scripts through to Post, particularly in pre-production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and methodical working methods.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience of working on a co-production.
- Experience using Ftrack.
