Working Conditions
- Location: Outremont, Quebec.
- Format: Hybrid (Work from the studio or remotely from the province of Québec, Canada).
- Employment Type: Contractor.
- Experience Level: Mid-level (Minimum 1 month to 3 years).
Responsibilities
- Light assigned shots in Unreal Engine according to the director’s vision and CG supervisor’s guidance.
- Ensure consistency and harmony of lighting across all sequences.
- Implement requested corrections while demonstrating critical thinking and analysis of your work.
- Prepare previews and partial compositions of shots directly in Unreal.
- Collaborate with the team to share best practices and determine the most effective real-time lighting techniques.
- Meet established quality and style objectives while adhering to deadlines and quotas.
- Participate in technical reviews, tests, and validations during production.
- Work closely with other departments: Animation, FX, Compositing, Environment, and Pipeline.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 month to 3 years of lighting experience, ideally on 3D animation or real-time projects.
- Unreal Engine: Initial experience and solid knowledge of Unreal Engine lighting tools (considered a plus).
- 3D Software: Strong skills in traditional 3D software, such as Maya, for asset transfer and integration.
- Compositing: Familiarity with real-time or traditional compositing workflows (Nuke, Photoshop) (considered an asset).
- Artistic Sensibility: Strong understanding of color, contrast, composition, natural and artificial lighting.
- Soft Skills:
- Rigorous, attentive to detail, and methodical in work.
- Good communication, organizational skills, and teamwork.
