About the role

Larian Studios is looking for a Head of Studio to lead the Dublin team and help in crafting high-calibre games.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day Operational Management of the Dublin studio, including project and budget management
  • Provide HR support and consultation to the Dublin studio team
  • Daily supervision and leadership of team members alongside project managers
  • Mentorship and coaching of people, supporting recruitment, overseeing new employee on-boarding and career development
  • Closely cooperate and communicate transparently with Larian’s Directors, company headquarters, and other Studio Heads
  • Ensure Dublin team harmony, team resilience and foster a vibrant, fun, productive studio work environment
  • Be a strong advocate of the Larian culture and live by Larian’s values
  • Be the face of the studio, speaking at conferences and promoting the studio
  • Work with local colleges and course providers to run Internship programmes based on studio/team requirements
  • Liaise with local authorities to ensure the studio is always in line with local laws and regulations
  • Work with local authorities and governments to develop strategies to improve the gaming sector in Ireland. Be the voice of Larian at a local level to ensure government strategies align with Larian’s vision
  • Work with authorities and governments to successfully claim any tax credits available to Larian (R&D, DGTC)

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in a Leadership role in the Games Industry or a similar creative industry, working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Project Management, Coaching / Mentorship or Project Delivery experience
  • Experience working with international teams, and a track record of developing effective working relationships internally and externally
  • Understanding of Game or Product development life cycles
  • Player and People-focused
  • Demonstrate sound judgment consistently, and take ownership of decisions within your area of responsibility
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and capable of adapting to changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
