About DIGIC
- We believe a formal, structured production environment is what allows creative chaos to thrive.
- While producers fully own project delivery, client relationships, and project budgets, this role owns the production system, methodologies, standards, and forecast integrity.
- We look beyond animation, borrowing best practices from PMI, Agile, Lean, and ISO to design world-class production systems.
- We are data-driven and rely on connected systems and real-time information.
Responsibilities
In the role you will:
- Own the production engine, define and refine division-wide standards for planning, scheduling, forecasting, risk escalation, and reporting.
- Implement modern tools, workflows, and production methods to continuously improve studio efficiency, drive the change.
- Keep schedules, staffing plans, and cost projections realistic, current, and backed by solid data.
- Audit production health, act as an objective advisor—challenging weak plans, optimistic forecasts, or practices that deviate from standards.
- Oversee cross-project resource planning to identify capacity constraints and manage dependencies across productions.
- Lead the PM department, directly hire, mentor, evaluate, and develop Production Managers, Coordinators, and PAs.
- Work closely with our Studio Head of Production to research, adapt, and deploy global best practices.
- Also work closely alongside Producers as an operational partner, shaping and influencing project workflows through methods and standards.
Things You Will Find Here
- A custom-built proprietary production management platform that you can directly influence.
- Fast-paced, top-tier animation projects where your systems directly impact delivery success.
- Full ownership of long-term organizational capability and system health, completely freed from day-to-day client firefighting and direct project delivery.
Essential Skills
What you bring:
- 10+ years in animation, CGI, or VFX production, including at least 5 years leading production teams.
- Advanced expertise in Excel/Sheets, dashboard creation, and building quantitative forecasting models.
- Hands-on knowledge of project and quality management frameworks (PMI, Agile, Lean, ISO) is a big plus.
- The ability to guide and align production through trusted standards, clear data, and strong relationships.
- A genuine passion for continuous improvement, optimising processes, and developing talent.
