Game Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Senior Game Designer to shape impactful systems, craft memorable champions and drive long-term player engagement for Game of Thrones: Legends. This role combines deep systems design craft, hands-on technical execution and character design expertise with strong collaboration across pods. You will pitch, design and own core mechanics, progression economies and LiveOps features from early concept through live tuning. Working at the intersection of mathematical precision and creative fantasy, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX, Art and LiveOps to align goals, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliver top-tier player experiences.

What You'll Do

• Feature & Mechanics Ownership: Pitch, design and own major new game features, combat mechanics and meta-progression systems, driving them end-to-end through concepts, specs, UI flows, and final delivery.
• Character Design, Implementation & Tuning: Architect hero kits, skill synergies, faction passives and combat status effects. Directly set up, implement and tune champion data and stats inside Unity.
• Mathematical Modeling & Economy Design: Efficient in spreadsheets in order to maintain and simulate complex balance models (combat formulas, gacha odds, XP curves, drop tables and resource sinks).
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX, Art and LiveOps to align feature goals, define measurable KPIs and ensure high-quality execution.
• System Evolution & Optimization: Continuously improve and evolve existing systems (events, rewards, progression pacing, collections, and FTUE/onboarding) using telemetry data, player insights, competitive research and structured design reviews.
• LiveOps & Retention Strategy: Contribute directly to LiveOps by designing scalable event formats, economy updates, pacing adjustments and long-term retention drivers.

What You Bring

• Mobile F2P Experience: 5+ years of professional game design experience in mobile free-to-play, with a proven track record of shipping and live-operating complex systems.
• Unity Proficiency: Hands-on experience working directly inside Unity to implement features, wire up data structures, set up character assets and tune balance parameters.
• Spreadsheet & Math Mastery: Advanced mathematical modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets for economy balancing, combat probability and player progression curves.
• Character Creation Expertise: Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, write GDDs for, implement and balance complex champion kits, skill trees and combat status mechanics.
• End-to-End Ownership: Proven ability to break down complex abstract ideas into clear design documents, wireframes and intuitive player experiences.
• Data-Informed Mindset: Strong analytical mindset with experience using player telemetry, A/B test results and market trends to drive design decisions.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
