Role Overview
Framestore’s Technology team focuses on innovation through new techniques, ideas, and creative storytelling. The role involves a cloud-forward approach to development to build and maintain end-to-end web features that power creative workflows, including the exploration of AI techniques for code and media generation. You will work in a small team alongside internal product management, artists, and creative directors.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full stack web features while ensuring code is clean and maintainable.
- Work in an agile team environment focused on continuous delivery and test-driven development (TDD).
- Implement useful metrics and carefully considered security measures for all features.
- Explore and harness AI techniques to assist with code and media generation.
- Mentor junior developers, champion strong engineering practices, and foster a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable expertise in developing features for web platforms.
- Experience working with a large application at scale.
- Strong communication skills with an eager, proactive approach to learning.
- Solid grasp of modern software development practices, including continuous delivery and TDD.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems independently, driving solutions with high-quality code without over-relying on AI tools.
- Frontend Technologies: Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Vite.
- Backend Development: Hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, and databases.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience with VFX/Animation tools and pipelines.
- Familiarity with development in cloud platforms and services, specifically GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
- Previous experience building features for users to work with AI agents.
- Experience with UX/DX and a product mindset.
