About the role
Role Summary
Join us at Electronic Arts to guide the design and improvement of engaging player progression and sustainable in-game economies for EA SPORTS™ F1. Partner with the Codemasters team to deliver authentic racing experiences and support the ongoing evolution of F1's live service. Report to the Lead Game Product Manager and collaborate with Producers, Game Designers, Artists, and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Translate weekly/monthly/annual goals of the Live Product team into executable plans for Content Producers by prioritizing tasks, communicating through scope documents/workflow management systems, and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Translate design briefs for economy reward mechanisms into executable requests and manage these with partner teams.
- Create detailed execution criteria for content offerings and messages, balancing player knowledge with directional strategy from Live leadership.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, and Marketing teams to support pricing, promotional strategies, and monetization plans.
- Use analytics dashboards, game expertise, and player data to run economy simulations and provide balanced value recommendations for weekly content in partnership with the Economy Designer.
- Create a schedule of weekly, monthly, or quarterly in-game events; manage scheduling and launch of engagement content using learnings from previous event results.
- Use techniques including messaging, player notifications, recommendations, and behavioral analytics to guide players to content.
- Calculate the effect of content on the in-game economy, acting as a subject matter expert for peer Product Managers.
- Understand economic risks and develop mitigation strategies to support the player journey and long-term sustainability of economic systems.
- Assess, construct, balance, and rebuild in-game value chains to facilitate an enjoyable experience across the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Economy, Product Management, or related game experience (in Live Services or Game Economies).
- Experience with games having a player-first mentality.
- Economy experience or a degree in economics.
- Ability to critically evaluate design, art, and economy to feed into content design.
- Experience using data and insights to inform product development and data-driven design.
- Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners; experience communicating complex technical concepts and presenting decks to multiple partners.
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Ability to work in varied development methodologies.
- Experienced in designing content, campaign events, and game reward features.
