Position Details
- Role: DevOps Build Engineer
- Location: Guildford
- Type: Full-time, On-site
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust build pipelines for each platform.
- Monitor and continuously improve automated build and CI systems.
- Partner with IT to scale and maintain build server infrastructure.
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation of the build/release process.
- Support the release manager during patch releases.
- Act as a go-to resource for team members requiring assistance.
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience.
- Solid hands-on knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Ruby, Groovy, or Python.
- Experience automating workflows via shell/bash/cmd on Linux and/or Windows.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git, Perforce, or SVN.
- Clear communication skills, written and spoken, in English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and take ownership of work.
- Enthusiasm for experimenting, iterating, and refining features.
- Strong software design and problem-solving abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
- Familiarity automating C#/C++ builds (e.g., MSBuild, CMake).
- Exposure to full-stack development.
- Background working in the games industry.
