The Role

Reporting to a Development Director, the Development Manager (Project Manager) joins the FC Live Platform Operations team. The team is responsible for monitoring the health of the FC Live service, driving actions when KPIs are off-target, and facilitating the annual launch of FC. Development Managers are the keepers of the project schedule and ensure focus on quality, collaboration, and communication.


Job Responsibilities

  • Execute project planning and management, project reporting, and project risk management for the EA SPORTS FC Live Platform Operations team.
  • Work with the FC Launch Director to prepare for and facilitate the launch of the next FC title.
  • Solve problems, balance priorities, and find creative solutions to achieve results.
  • Support the team in executing against milestones and key deliverables.
  • Keep the team and partners’ teams informed on development results, schedule, and changes.
  • Identify and drive effective, measurable process improvements to support the team's delivery and execution.
  • People manage a team of engineering direct reports, playing a critical role in supporting them in their career development and growth.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of Project Management or Project Lead experience with production lifecycles, processes, and project planning.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and focused on quality.
  • Ability to rationalize decisions in a clear and objective manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailoring communications to the specific audience.
  • Excellent stakeholder and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent people manager skills, with a demonstrable track record of supporting direct reports in their professional development.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Scrum Master or Agile Coach experience.
  • Experience with distributed development across multiple locations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • Game development experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $104,500 - $142,800 CAD (British Columbia, depending on location).

Standard Benefits:
