About the role
Overview
Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Control, Max Payne, Alan Wake, and one of the leading independent game studios in the world, is looking for a Senior Development Manager to create gaming experiences for the next generation of games. The company is expanding its production department to drive development efficiency and enable the production of Remedy games. The role involves taking part in all phases of high-quality game projects.
What You Get To Do
- Be accountable and drive the delivery of teams and assigned key processes.
- Plan and consistently deliver against project schedules, identify production risks or constraints, and troubleshoot dependency problems.
- Manage and prioritize tasks, and clearly communicate them to the teams responsible.
- Coordinate work with external partners such as motion capture studios, outsourcing studios and talent, and manage the dependencies between external deliveries and internal teams.
- Support, drive and inform the budgeting process for internal and external project needs to ensure project budgets are planned, tracked and managed effectively.
- Facilitate communication between the project teams, leads and other producers.
- Actively optimize and improve work methods and best practices to drive team efficiency.
- Stay up to date with industry standards in methodology and quality, helping team members stay on par or ahead of them.
What You Bring To The Role
- Solid experience as a Senior Development Manager or Senior Producer, with at least one shipped PC/console game.
- Excellent project management skills and hands-on experience managing multiple crafts in a larger game production, with an understanding of the dependencies between crafts.
- Experience with narrative and cinematics pipelines is highly valued.
- Experience working with both internal teams and external partners (motion capture, outsourcing studios, talent).
- Experience with external partner relations and processes (outsourcing agreements, shoots, delivery follow-up) is a plus.
- Experience with production management tools such as Jira and Klash, including setting up and maintaining team workflows.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking mindset.
- Experience collaborating with colleagues across different locations and departments, with the ability to communicate and present ideas clearly.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment, sharing ideas and learning from others.
- Dedication to contributing towards a friendly and inclusive work environment.
