Job Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal casting of artistic talent across the studio through the scheduling and prioritisation of resources across multiple projects.
- Work with Head of Department to balance team experience, skills, and development needs.
- Induct new crew into production and department processes.
- Manage and report on department overtime and TOIL to key stakeholders.
- Develop and oversee leave strategies considering utilization, cross-show demands, and artist wellbeing.
- Conduct regular check-ins with crew.
- Lead processes for team performance reviews, feedback, and identifying professional development opportunities.
- Approve timesheets accurately and keep internal systems up to date.
- Participate in interviews and contribute to department hiring decisions.
- Provide regular reporting to Management.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and proactive task ownership.
- Calm, level-headed approach under pressure.
- Solid understanding of VFX pipeline and the VFX industry.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of HR practices and performance management.
