Role Overview
The Creative Manager will define and grow the Production Artist team for Magic: The Gathering. This team is responsible for building custom frames and specialty print files that transform creative ideas into collectible cards. The role focuses on leadership, operational workflows, and cross-functional integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead a high-functioning group of creative production artists by managing workloads, developing skills, monitoring resourcing, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and excellence.
- Cultural Integration: Develop teamwork and integration between the creative team, game production, and game design.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with studio teams to convert product goals into clear vision, deliverables, and decisions.
- Operational Excellence: Apply strong operational instincts to improve processes, create documentation, coordinate reviews, and build repeatable workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with licensed products, entertainment franchises, external creative collaborators, or brand extensions.
- Fantastic communication skills with high comfort levels regarding giving and receiving feedback.
- High attention to detail and highly developed organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools (MS Teams, Smartsheet, Miro, etc.).
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Range: $150,500 — $235,200 USD.
- Incentives: Employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives based on role, location, and eligibility.
