MID CINEMATIC Artist - 12 months contract - UK based candidate

The Role
The studio is seeking a Mid Cinematic Artist for the current project to create visual narrative content in a unique and unconventional style that stretches beyond classic cutscenes. This role is ideal for a skilled Cinematic artist with experience in layout and 3D animation, a keen eye for symbolic and evocative editing, and an interest in working in a small team of storytellers. Exclusively for UK-based candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the cinematic lead and creative director to help build an emotionally engaging experience.
  • Stage, storyboard, animate, compose, and sequence the narrative in Unreal Engine.
  • Create scenes from script to screen through the entire cinematic pipeline.
  • Maintain consistent quality, style, and continuity, both visually and technically throughout the project.
  • Collaborate with other cinematic artists and production to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate with other disciplines for support in realizing the scene.
  • Address bugs as assigned in reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

  • You are a nuanced storyteller.
  • At least 5 years experience in cinematics and layout.
  • Experience in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Experience and ability to animate autonomously.
  • Strong critical reasoning and emotional awareness within storytelling is essential.
  • Strong understanding of cinematography, lighting, with a keen eye for composition.
  • Ability to work at speed in a fast turnaround environment, without sacrificing quality of content.
  • Strong collaboration skills to bring the story to fruition.
  • At least one successfully shipped game.
  • Love for the narrative genre.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.

MID-Senior Environment Artist - 9 months contract - UK based candidate

The Role
A talented Mid–Senior Environment Artist based in the UK is required to help build an immersive, high-quality game world. This role is fully remote and focuses on creating visually compelling environments that support gameplay, narrative, and performance targets while collaborating closely with level design, lighting, and technical art.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality environment assets and set dressing for game levels, from blockout through final polish.
  • Work closely with Level Designers to support gameplay readability, flow, and player guidance.
  • Author modular environment kits with efficient UVs, texel density, and reusability in mind.
  • Build and maintain environments inside the engine, including layout, dressing, and iteration.
  • Collaborate with Lighting Artists and Technical Artists to ensure environments look great and perform well.
  • Follow and help refine art direction, style guides, and technical constraints.
  • Optimize assets for performance (LODs, collision, material complexity).
  • Participate in reviews, critiques, and cross-discipline problem solving.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience as an Environment Artist in games.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g., Maya/Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer).
  • Solid experience building environments in a real-time engine (preferably Unreal Engine).
  • Experience creating modular assets and tileable textures.
  • Ability to work from concept art as well as improvise within an established style.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience shipping at least one commercial game.
  • Familiarity with procedural tools (Substance Designer, Houdini, PCG workflows).
  • Experience working on open-world or large-scale environments.
  • Interest in technical workflows or performance optimisation.
