About the role

Role Overview

As a Senior Brand Manager on VALORANT, you will independently architect end-to-end global brand strategies, lead complex campaign planning, and provide high-level creative stewardship across marquee multi-platform publishing beats. This role anchors the core PC and Console campaign ecosystem (major Episode/Act beats, Agent launches, skinline moments, and competitive beats) and leads or supports marquee cross-platform initiatives including VALORANT Mobile in China and cross-ecosystem beats. You will operate with high autonomy—shaping full-year campaign roadmaps, setting strategic positioning, guiding matrixed teams, and continuously challenging creative partners to elevate work beyond status-quo norms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning: Define and drive end-to-end global campaign strategy, and player journey design for VALORANT’s major live-service, esports, and platform beats.
  • Gold-Standard Briefing & Creative Stewardship: Deliver decision-enabling, insight-driven campaign briefs. Partner directly with Creative, Production, and Craft leads, continuously challenging creative execution throughout production to maintain an elevated quality bar.
  • Cross-Functional & Regional Leadership: Guide matrixed cross-functional teams (Production, Comms, Social, Influencer, Growth, Dev, Esports) and steward Regional Brand Leads across global publishing hubs to ensure regional relevance alongside global campaign cohesion.
  • Measurement, Analysis & Optimization: Partner with Insights to establish campaign KPIs, evaluate post-campaign performance, and synthesize complex audience data into actionable learnings that inform future full-year publishing roadmaps.
  • Full-Year Campaign & Budget Management: Manage publishing budgets for owned workstreams, prioritize resources under ambiguity, and build full-year campaign roadmaps in alignment with game dev timelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in brand strategy, game publishing, or marketing within gaming or entertainment, with a proven track record of full, end-to-end campaign ownership.
  • PC & Console Ecosystem Focus: 3+ years directly engaging gaming audiences, with deep familiarity in live-service FPS, competitive shooters, or core PC/Console ecosystems.
  • Large-Scale Campaign Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading complex, integrated marketing campaigns involving product marketing, community, social, esports, and external agencies.
  • Strategic & Creative Rigor: Exceptional ability to write sharp, decision-enabling briefs and translate complex player insights into clear strategic direction.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Proven success guiding matrixed teams, resolving cross-departmental friction, and influencing senior stakeholders without relying on direct authority.

Desired Qualifications

  • Deep familiarity with the VALORANT IP, its competitive ecosystem, and tactical shooter culture.
  • Multi-platform publishing experience spanning PC, Console, and Mobile environments.
  • Prior experience working directly alongside game development teams within live-ops environments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Location: Los Angeles, USA
  • Base Salary Range: $149,800.00 - $208,400.00 USD
  • Additional Compensation: Incentive compensation and equity.
  • Retirement & Insurance: 401k with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Disability & Leave: Short and long-term disability, parental leave for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children.
  • Work-Life Balance: Open paid time off policy and flexible work schedules.
