About the Role

At 3 Doubles Producciones, we are seeking a Junior Animator to bring characters and worlds to life. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of animation principles, a strong artistic vision, and a desire to grow within the studio.

Responsibilities

• Solve simple shots within the production, related to acting and body mechanics.
• Ensure animation consistency, expressiveness, and adherence to artistic and technical guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with rigging, layout, FX, and QC teams to enhance animation integration into production.
• Review and refine animations based on feedback from directors and supervisors, ensuring high-quality final outputs.
• Ensure proper export, technical implementation, and functionality of animations within the production pipeline.

Requirements

• Technical Skills:
  • Medium-level knowledge regarding body mechanics.
  • Proficiency in Maya software and native animation tools.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the animation pipeline and department workflow.
  • Ability to interpret a storyboard.
  • Familiarity with the protocol for tickets to resolve issues.
• Artistic Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of acting and interpreting.
  • Understanding of different animation styles.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the 12 basic principles of animation.
• General Knowledge:
  • General understanding of the processes required for the making of a movie.
• Languages:
  • Basic spoken and written English skills.
