We’re currently looking for an Animation Director for our talented team at our Dublin Studio. The successful candidate will ensure delivery of high-quality animation by directing animation teams both in-house and overseas at character animation level and scene by scene direction.
Our studio operates on a hybrid model, with a minimum of two days per week required in the studio.
The successful candidate must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the Director team to create the highest quality production within the constraints of the project budget and schedule.
- Establishing key character animation and animation bible for the entire production in collaboration with Director and Lead Animator.
- Ensuring high quality standard is maintained throughout animation production.
- Writing scene by scene animation notes for each episode animation launch from internal and external animation teams.
- Approving facial and character rigs with the Lead Rigger.
- Approving blend shapes and morphs for facial expressions.
- Attending calls with overseas teams and following up with notes.
- Leading animation launch and animation team meetings.
Key Requirements
Knowledge
- A strong animation sensibility.
- A good understanding of 3D animation processes.
Experience
- Animation Industry experience, preferably in CG animation for game, cinematics, TV, or film, credited as Lead Animator (or equivalent) on at least 2 series (desirable).
- Experience in creatively leading various levels of crew and artistic staff.
- Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of production crew, artistic staff and management.
Technical Skills
- Experienced in MAYA.
- Animation Qualification (desirable).
Compensation
Salary: 52,000.00 - 56,000.00
