About the Role
The 2D Supervisor drives the compositing work for advertising projects, overseeing the compositing team and the quality of output. The role involves working closely with the project’s Visual Effects Supervisor, Creative Director, CG Supervisor, and Producer to communicate, supervise, and delegate compositing needs.
The 2D Lead/Supervisor maintains a hands-on compositing role while managing project-specific duties such as monitoring shot and overall project progress. The goal is to build and lead a motivated team, providing opportunities for compositors to learn, grow, and produce high-quality work.
Requirements
- Previous Advertising industry experience.
- Interest in working within the Advertising sector.
- Interest in a broad range and variety of projects.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid Model: Combination of in-office and remote work.
- Location: Candidates must be based within a commutable distance to the London office.
Primary Tasks
- Solve difficult technical and artistic compositing challenges.
- Work with the production team to bid and schedule work.
- Attend client reviews.
- Lead daily reviews with the compositing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Brief and mentor junior, mid, and senior level talent.
- Cast shots to appropriate team members.
- Work proactively and collaboratively with all VFX and support departments.
- Balance the creative and technical aspects of each shot and sequence.
- Manage colour pipeline and 2D workflow as it integrates with DI, CG, and DMP.
