About Zoic Studios
Zoic Studios is an independent visual-effects, animation and creative-technology studio founded in 2002 in Culver City, California. Its work spans episodic television, streaming series, feature films, commercials, game cinematics and experiential media, with production hubs in California, New York and Vancouver.
The studio delivers visual-effects work from pre-production planning and on-set supervision through compositing and final delivery. Its capabilities include digital environments, matte painting, set extensions, character modeling, creature design, rigging, simulation, animation, motion capture, previs and technical direction. Zoic also supports virtual-production projects with LED-volume content, in-camera visual effects and real-time look development.
Screen work and storytelling
Zoic’s television and streaming credits include Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Game of Thrones, The Boys, House of the Dragon, Stranger Things, For All Mankind, Sweet Tooth, The Witcher, Star Trek: Discovery, The Flash and The Umbrella Academy. Feature-film work includes Spider-Man 2, District 9, Serenity, Zathura: A Space Adventure, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Big Eyes and Death of a Unicorn.
Its broader creative output also covers game and interactive work, including the cinematic announcement trailer for Stormgate and work connected to Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story. The studio has produced anamorphic 3D billboard work for 9-1-1 and Dr. Odyssey, as well as commercial campaigns for brands including HP OmniBook, Under Armour, Toyota, Cupra and PlayStation.
Production approach
Zoic combines traditional visual-effects craft with real-time production workflows. The company’s teams work across episodic, feature, advertising and interactive pipelines, providing clients with practical production support alongside digital world-building and character-driven effects. Its Canadian, California and East Coast facilities support productions working in regional film-incentive markets.
Founded by visual-effects artists and supervisors Loni Peristere, Christopher Jones, Andrew Orloff, Tim McBride and Steve Schofield, Zoic has grown from its early television work into a multi-market production studio serving entertainment, advertising and immersive-media projects.
