About Yotta Games
Yotta Games is a game developer and international studio network founded in September 2012, with its global headquarters and primary development operations in Shanghai. Its work spans mobile strategy, role-playing and simulation games, alongside an expansion into cross-platform AAA open-world development. The company serves players across North America, Europe, East Asia, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Mobile strategy has been central to its development history. Early releases included Girls' Connect, followed by the global launch of Mafia City in March 2017. The latter combined an underworld setting with real-time strategy systems and became a major international release. The Grand Mafia followed in 2020, extending the studio’s work in this genre. Its wider portfolio includes Chief Almighty: First Thunder BC, Nexus War: Civilization and Hollywood Crush, reflecting activity across strategy and simulation-oriented entertainment.
Development capabilities
Yotta’s production capabilities cover game mechanics and economy design, systems engineering, narrative design, character and environment art, animation, motion capture and cinematics. Its operations also encompass localization, community management and live operations, connecting development with the ongoing support of games across multiple markets. Performance marketing and user acquisition form part of its broader commercial capabilities.
The company expanded internationally during 2017–2019 and opened its North American development studio in 2021. Operating publicly as Yotta Studios, that team supports the company’s move into AAA production, including an unannounced open-world action project built with Unreal Engine 5. The expansion adds work in world design, animation, cinematics and lighting to a business established through mobile games.
Yotta’s development operations continue under the Yotta Games and Yotta Studios names. From mid-2022, international storefront publishing for several established titles moved to a distinct publishing operator. This change separates the development network’s continuing creative and engineering work from consumer-facing distribution arrangements for those games.
